Calm communities. Clear decisions.

Moderation that keeps its reasoning visible.

Modary helps teams review conversations, apply clear rules, and understand every automated decision.

Context

It reads the conversation, not the message.

A filter sees words, not situations. Modary rebuilds what came before — the thread, the replies around it, the earlier exchanges between the same people — and looks for the pattern: repeated needling, deniable insults, one person staying perfectly calm while making sure someone else can't.

What it reads a thread for

Repeated needlingthe same person, over and over
Deniable insultsnothing you could quote on its own
Selective quotingcontext left out on purpose
Calm escalationpolite words, rising pressure

Provocation explains a reaction. It never excuses a threat.

Reasoning

Every decision comes with its reasons.

Not a score. A record — what was decided, how certain Modary was, which messages it used as evidence. Click a piece of evidence and you land on the message it refers to. And nothing gets quietly rewritten: every decision and every override is kept.

Autonomy

It decides. You handle the exceptions.

Clear cases are handled the moment they appear, and only what Modary cannot decide with confidence waits for a person. It starts by watching: a new connection makes every decision and executes none, until you have read enough of them to switch autonomy on.

What each outcome means

Allowed · autoHandled the moment it appears.

Decided by youNever automated again.

Reversible actions need less certainty than irreversible ones.

Transparency

A removal shouldn't leave a hole.

When something comes down, a short public notice takes its place — your wording, from your own templates. A moderator can add a sentence, or answer in the thread under your own account. Nothing disappears silently.

The gap is filled by your words, not by silence.

Your infrastructure

It runs on your machines, with your model.

Modary is self-hosted. Conversations, decisions and history stay in your database, on your servers, and the language model is whichever compatible endpoint you point it at. It connects to the community platform you already run — nothing has to move, and nothing has to leave.
